I have two projects to share with you today using brand new products from Altenew<\/a>. Their new Exotic Garden release is packed with the most beautiful tropical stamps, stencils, dies and more – I am absolutely exploding with ideas for all the ways you can use their innovative products! TROPICAL JUNGLE SYMPATHY CARD<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m kicking things off today with this gorgeous Tropical Jungle Stamp set. My first inclination was to go for funky bright palette for the tropical vibe. But then I decided to switch it up and create a softer more muted look with peach and moss to make the mood more appropriate for a sympathy card (which unfortunately, we all need to send at times). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To get started, I stamped some of the foliage images dangling down from the top in Moon Rock and Evening Gray inks onto a white card panel. These beautiful warm gray outline images provides some interest in the background and complement the peach tone of my focal point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focal point is stamped in Lava Rock (a shade darker) and then colored with alcohol Markers in peach and olive tones. I did this on a separate piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and used the coordinating die cuts to cut it out. Because this focal point bloom is hanging downward from its branch, I thought it too lent itself nicely to a sympathy card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I used the same die to die cut a piece of fun foam to nestle behind my focal point and pop it off the card front a bit. Then the card is finished off with a few pearls and a simple sentiment that I heat embossed in white on Moss cardstock. The sentiment comes from the Delicate Primrose stamp set and I love how simple and easy to read these sentiments are. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The whole card panel is matted with more of the same moss green cardstock from my stash and then affixed to an A2 card base and now I have the perfect elegant sympathy card ready to send.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BITTERROOT STENCIL CARD<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My second project features the Bitterroot Layering Stencil set. I don’t know if you have been loving these layering stencils as much as I have, but I am hooked! They are so easy and detailed and versatile! Now Altenew is offering coordinating dies as well so I feel you get so much mileage out of these amazing products. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this card I followed the directions on the packaging to arrange and ink the cluster of flowers exactly as the grouping was intended. I used the Shades of Purple Ink family for the flowers and buds and Parrot and Moss inks for the leaves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
