Altenew Whimsical Wonder Stamps/Dies/Stencils/ Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello friends!

Today I am thrilled to be playing along with the Altenew Blog Hop for their amazing April release. If this is your first visit to my blog, WELCOME! I hope you take some time to poke around at my other projects and I would love it if you subscribed to receive notifications for future posts!

Altenew has just released a gorgeous group of products – stamps, dies, stencils, embossing folders & more – and we are celebrating with a Blog Hop! There is so much beautiful inspiration it makes my head spin! View the entire release collection here. If you have been following along on the hop, you should have arrived here from Teresa Litchfield‘s blog.

So let’s dive in to the projects I created:

Inked Stripes – Bouquet of Love

For my first project I used an emboss resist technique with the stunning Bouquet of Love stamp set.

I started by stamping the main image in Versamark ink and then heat embossing it with white powder. Then I masked off stripes with low tack tape and blended various shades of pink, peach, and yellow inks to cover the entire panel.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment in gold and mounted both onto coordinating cardstock. A few sequins and crystal drops finish off the card. There is a supply list for this project at the end of this blog post if you are interested.

FOLK ART DIMENTIONAL CARD

My second card features the Folk Art stamp set and coordinating die sets.

I stamped the image in a light alcohol-friendly ink and colored it in cool shades of purple, yellow, and green using Altenew Artist Markers. Then I re-stamped the image over the top of the coloring (using my Misti) and embossed the outline in silver.

I die cut the whole image and popped it up (including the loose pieces) onto a gray card panel with some foam tape.

I duplicated a few of the flowers on a second panel and fussy cut them out so I could pop them up with another layer of foam tape and add even more dimension to this intricate card.

This image stood all on its own, so I didn’t add a sentiment to the front of the card. Instead, I stamped a greeting from the same set on the inside of the card in coordinating gray ink.
