Bullet Journal, Featured, general

BuJo on the road…

Last week I made an impromptu trip to Florida to visit my parents (coincidentally, it was just as the actual temps dipped to -13 degrees here in Michigan – YIKES!)

Brrrrrr!

I wanted to get my weekly setup done in my planner for the upcoming week but I was busy with snow days (really, Michigan?!) and packing etc… so I sketched out the general design and did only my stamping. Since I was heading South, I chose sunny beach images which I stamped in black ink and some gray circles to highlight my dates. Then I stamped vacation words in various colors across the top of the page.

The adorable surf/beach images are from Big Kahuna by Taylored Expressions  and the cute beachy words are from a set called Beach Time – designed by Ali Edwards for Technique Tuesday. I love these stamps for both my planner and my memory keeping (perfect if you have sunny vacation photos to scrapbook!). I also used the Bokeh Dots stamp set from Ellen Hutson for the rings around the dates and the Monthly stamp set from Felicity Jane to stamp “February” at the top.

I packed a pouch with my Berol Prismacolor Colored Pencils (I LOVE these!) and my little pouch of bullet journaling supplies (straightedge, pigment liners, pencil, eraser etc) and threw everything into my carry on.

On the plane, all I had to do was draw out my daily boxes, add some drop shadows and get busy coloring! It was a perfect way to pass the time on the plane 🙂 When I was done, I had a cheerful, bright, sandy layout that made me anxious to get to the beach!

For everyone who lives in cold wintry parts of the country like I do, stay warm and safe!
