Getting Personal (sized)

For about 18 months, I have been a die hard ring-bound A5 planner girl.  It was just the right amount of space for me, I loved the flexibility of rearranging/adding/removing pages using the rings, and I really loved my simple A5 inserts from plan2create. [find them HERE]

However… I started lugging that baby around with me in my purse and it was getting a little cumbersome!

So… I got a Color Crush personal planner.

It was such a handy little size and so adorable!  I started out by designing my own daily pages.  I figured I’d continue planning out my weeks and months in my A5, but then each day I could really map out my specific chores, errands, and appointments in great detail on a full page.  And that was all I would need to carry with me.

Well, I have loved that system so much, that I decided to see how it would work to give my A5 a break for this summer and work almost exclusively out of my personal planner.  Plan2Create makes ingenious personal sized fold-out pages for weekly and monthly layouts that allow for ample writing space, so I downloaded those babies [find them HERE] and I’m ready to give it a shot! I’ll let you know how it goes!

  1. I can’t wait to see how you like the personal size as your main planner. I have been in the personal size blush pink Kikki k for a couple months and while it is bigger than my personal filo fax it is easy to carry, but I have it so full it will barley close. I’m wanting to switch back to my A5. I struggle with finding the perfect way to use them both at the same time. I envy how Julie at plan2 create can switch back and forth so effortlessly! Can’t wait to see how you like it!

    1. Hi Caressa – thank you so much for coming by and for subscribing! I wonder if I’ll end up going back and forth too… I’m not sure! I found that I created a lot of sections in my A5 and then rarely used them, so it was wasted real estate.
We live on our boat all summer, so I bring a little kit of supplies and try to pare down my “stuff” so I’ll give the personal a go during the summer and see if it works out!
